Jump

by DoJoe

Verse 1

Imagine two fish in a fish bowl
Swimming round and round each day
Each one could like the other one
But he is too far away

Always circling through the water
They don't see their distance change
I wish one took a shortcut into
The other fishe's range

Bridge 1

So they could get to know each other
Maybe find some common things
Oh how I wish these fish did know
Curiosity always wins

Chorus

Jump over your shadow
And just shut up
The beast inside of you

Simply walk towards the stranger
Maybe you don't find a friend
But maybe you do

Verse 2

See the girl standing in the corner
Watching one boy over there
She's deep in love with him, but thinks
That he does not love her

But, actually, that's not the truth
The boy just thinks the same
If he went over and he failed,
It would be such a shame

Bridge 2

So, boy and girl, don't be so stupid
Stop trembling and just chat
If all went wrong, could it be worse
Than never knowing what you're at?

Chorus

Solo

Verse 3

Imagine yourself in the gutter
Watching people passing by
You're badly injured, lying there
And nobody asks you why

You've been shot and you need someone helping
And you hear no siren sounds
You quickly must get rid of these
Nine millimeter rounds

Bridge 3

But no one bothers to come to you
And to help you getting up
You feel that time is running out
Welcome to the Victims' Club!

Chorus 2

Don't you wish that someone
Jumps over his shadow
And just walk up
To the poor guy of you

That he simply helps you out
Without asking for reward
Sourely he will find a friend
And you will, too!

So remember to
Jump over your shadow
And just shut up
The beast inside of you

Simply walk towards the stranger
Maybe you don't find a friend
But maybe you do
